AI Path Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026. AI Path is operated by Longlong Cao, an individual developer in Canada. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact longlcao@gmail.com. This policy covers the AI Path mobile app and its associated backend, not your separate Manus account.
Information we receive and save
When you sign in with Manus, we receive your account identifier, name and email. On iPhone, if you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple account identifier, the email address Apple provides (which may be a private relay address), and your name if you share it on your first sign-in. We also support a dedicated, limited reviewer account; its database record stores a salted one-way password verifier, not a recoverable password. AI Path stores an internal user ID, sign-in method, role, access tier, credits, any subscription-expiration date and account creation, update and last-sign-in times. If an Apple token-exchange key is configured, an encrypted Apple refresh token may be stored to revoke access on account deletion. No paid subscription is currently available.
If Sign in with Apple supplies a verified, non-private email address that uniquely matches the email of an eligible existing AI Path account used for Manus sign-in, the two sign-ins may be linked to that one account; private relay or ambiguous matches are not linked by email.
The app saves completed lessons, daily checker usage, checker reports you save, flags you submit about AI-generated content and AI-processing permission choices on iPhone. Existing organization inquiries from earlier versions (organization, email and message) remain until the associated account is deleted. Some earlier app versions may still allow those inquiries.
For each checker request, the backend receives your pasted AI answer (up to 5,000 characters), optional original prompt (up to 2,000) and optional supporting text (up to 4,000). It forwards them to a managed third-party AI model service to generate your report. The app database saves an excerpt of at most 360 characters of your answer and the generated report; a report may itself quote or paraphrase your submission. It does not save your full original prompt or supporting text in separate database fields. The backend does not intentionally log the pasted text in its own application log messages.
AI processing and model training
Before an iPhone user's first check, AI Path requests permission to send submitted text to OpenAI's gpt-5-mini through the Manus AI gateway. On iPhone you can withdraw that permission at any time in You → AI processing; this stops new checks without deleting existing saved reports, which you can remove individually in History. Earlier app versions continue to show their existing per-check disclosure. AI Path does not train its own model on your text. We do not have a written commitment establishing whether the model provider uses submitted text to train or improve models, or how long the provider retains requests or outputs. We cannot promise that provider-side training or retention never occurs. Do not paste passwords, confidential information or material you are not authorized to share.
Why data is used and who sees it
We use account information to sign you in, save your learning and reports, enforce the daily check limit for ordinary accounts and respond to inquiries. The project owner can see earlier organization inquiries and reports you explicitly flag, including the saved answer excerpt, generated report, flag reason and optional note. Your other reports are available to your own app account. Manus operates managed sign-in, hosting, database and AI gateway services; Apple processes native Apple sign-in, and the model service processes checker inputs. These services may have separate security and operational processing.
Analytics, logs and network information
The AI Path application does not include a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK and does not add an IP address column to its account or checker database. Its application log messages record service events and failures, not intentionally the full checker input. Manus hosting, authentication and AI services and their network gateway may process request metadata, including IP addresses and operational logs. We have not verified whether platform analytics are enabled for this deployment or the exact contents and retention period of their logs. We will not claim that no network information is collected.
How long app records remain
AI Path has no automatic expiry for saved reports, account profile, lesson progress, daily usage, flags, AI permission or existing organization inquiries. Those app database records remain until you delete an individual report or your account. When an account is deleted, AI Path removes its app profile and associated records and invalidates existing sessions. It attempts to revoke Sign in with Apple access when the necessary Apple credentials are available; a failed Apple-side revocation does not stop local deletion. You can also revoke access in Apple ID settings. A keyed one-way digest of the former app identifier remains to block old sessions; it becomes eligible for pruning after the maximum app-token lifetime plus one day and is pruned on a later authentication check. Separate processor, backup and platform logs are not controlled by database deletion; their precise retention has not been verified.
Your deletion choices
To delete one report, go to History, open it and tap Delete this report. To delete your account and associated app records, open the You tab, tap Delete my AI Path account and confirm. Without the app, email longlcao@gmail.com; identity verification is required before manual deletion. See Account and data deletion.
